By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Orange Walk Town are investigating a hit-and-run accident that left a young woman injured on Guadalupe Street on Wednesday night.
Reports indicate that around 8:15 p.m., 21-year-old Teresita Bruhier of Guinea Grass Village was riding her blue 2024 Lifan motorcycle with license plate OWMC 5579, insured with Home Protector Insurance Co. Ltd., and licensed up to December 2025. As she was heading toward the Belize–Corozal Road and reached in front of RB’s Multi Service, she was knocked from behind by a silver SUV, whose driver fled the scene immediately after the collision.
Bruhier was left lying on the pavement until she was assisted and transported to the Northern Regional Hospital, where doctors observed abrasions to her left elbow and thigh. She was issued a medico-legal form for further evaluation and remains in a stable condition, undergoing x-ray examinations.
Police have launched an investigation to locate the SUV and identify the driver responsible for the incident.
