By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans are waking up to cool, breezy, and cloudy conditions this morning following the passage of a strong cold front that swept across the country overnight.

According to the National Meteorological Service of Belize, the next 24 hours will bring cloudy skies with a few showers, isolated thunderstorms, and periods of rain, particularly affecting southern coastal and offshore areas.

Winds are expected from the north to northwest at 15–25 knots, occasionally gusty, creating rough to very rough seas. As a result, a Small Craft Warning remains in effect, and operators of small vessels are strongly advised to remain in safe harbour until conditions improve.

Daytime temperatures will remain unusually cool, with highs around 76°F (24°C) along the coast, 74°F (23°C) inland, and 68°F (20°C) in the hills. Tonight, temperatures are forecast to drop further, making for a chilly evening across most of the country.

Meteorologists say this cool, windy pattern will persist through Wednesday, with mostly cloudy skies and periods of light rain mainly offshore during the day. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop Wednesday night over central and northern Belize.

No tropical cyclone activity is expected in the region for the next few days.
