
By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Orange Walk are investigating a burglary at the Belize Workers Union office on Tate Street that occurred sometime over the weekend, resulting in the theft of electronic equipment and tools valued at over $3,000.
According to reports, between 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 7, and 7:45 a.m. on Monday, November 10, someone broke into the two-storey green concrete building by damaging the front burglar bar door and door knob of the upper flat.
Once inside, the culprits stole a black HP Windows 10 laptop valued at $2,000 and a DeWalt combo tool set valued at $1,350. Both items were taken from the office of a 43-year-old office administrator.
Scenes of Crime personnel processed the building, and police say video footage from nearby cameras will be reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
No arrests have been made, and police continue to seek the person or persons responsible for the break-in.
