By Zoila Palma: Today, Leader of the Opposition Tracy Panton extended heartfelt congratulations to the Right Reverend Philip S. Wright, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Belize, on his historic election as Archbishop of the Church in the Province of the West Indies.
“This momentous occasion marks a great source of pride for Belize and the entire Anglican Community. Bishop Wright’s elevation to this esteemed office is a testament to his extraordinary leadership, spiritual depth, and unwavering devotion to the service of God’s people,” Panton said.
“For nearly two decades, Bishop Wright has shepherded the Diocese of Belize with wisdom, humility, and steadfast faith, guiding his flock through changing times while upholding the enduring values of compassion, justice, and unity,” Panton added.
Panton says that this “achievement of our dear Bishop incites a deep sense of national pride and serves as an inspiration for all Belizeans who strive to lead with integrity and purpose.”
