By Aaron Humes: Late this evening, shots were fired in front of a residence at Mayflower Street. The incident occurred when a white F-150 pickup truck arrived at the location to pick up a female.
Witnesses reported that just as the truck approached the residence, gunshots rang out, causing the driver to quickly reverse and flee the scene. Police responded promptly to the situation, conducting checks in the area.
Upon investigation, officers discovered three expended 9-millimeter bullet casings near the scene. The Special Operations Command (SOC) was called in to process the area for evidence as the investigation continues.
Police also contacted nearby medical facilities, including the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), to determine if anyone had been admitted with gunshot wounds; however, no such cases were reported.
No injuries have been reported at this time, and police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
