Group A action in Week 5 of the Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) First Division Tournament saw Yo Creek United extend their unbeaten run, while August Pine Ridge Central climbed the table with a gritty win. Louisiana FC also picked up a narrow victory, keeping the race for the top spots tight.
Saturday, November 1
Yo Creek United 6–0 Palmar FC
Yo Creek United whipped Palmar FC, scoring six unanswered goals. Nazim Aldana (5’) and Allen Castillo (6’) struck early, followed by Armando Chirinos (27’), Axel Alamilla (33’), and Liam Reyes (36’). A Farrel Carrillo own goal (39’) capped off Palmar’s rough outing.
Sunday, November 2
Louisiana FC 1–0 Trinidad FC
Louisiana FC edged Trinidad FC 1–0 in a tightly contested match, with Alvin Dawson netting the winner in the 42nd minute.
August Pine Ridge Central FC 2–1 Guinea Grass FC
August Pine Ridge Central earned their third win of the season, defeating Guinea Grass FC 2–1. Alfredo Celis (18’) and Francisco Vega (62’) scored for the victors, while Rivaldo Vanegas responded for Guinea Grass just a minute later (63’).
