By Aaron Humes: 39-year-old Gilbert Conorquie, of Rivero Street, Belize City, was found dead in an open lot on Caesar Ridge Road this morning, after being reported missing for several days.
Staff Officer Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith detailed what led to this morning’s discovery: “Conorquie’s body exhibited signs of injury, and it now awaits a post-mortem examination. What we do know is that on the 27th of October, a relative of Conorquie reported him missing, [having last seen] him on the 26th of October.”
Conorquie was said to be mentally ill and known to wander about, but police have not established what, or who, led Conorquie to the area. Police have spoken to multiple persons who are assisting the ongoing investigation.
