Belize’s Men’s National Basketball Team stormed into the semifinals of the XII Juegos Centroamericanos Guatemala 2025 with a resounding 93–47 victory over Honduras on Monday afternoon, sealing their third consecutive win and topping Group B undefeated.
Playing with intensity and precision at the Gimnasio Nacional Teodoro Palacios Flores in Guatemala City, Team Belize delivered their most dominant performance yet, dismantling Honduras with relentless defense and explosive offense. The 46-point margin not only demonstrates Belize’s supremacy in the group stage but also sends a clear message to their upcoming semifinal rivals.
This latest triumph follows Belize’s 83–68 win over El Salvador on Saturday and 72–43 rout of hosts Guatemala on Sunday, reflecting a consistent rise in form and confidence. Across all three games, Belize have blended high-tempo ball movement with disciplined defensive schemes, limiting opponents’ scoring while capitalizing on fast breaks and perimeter shooting.

While individual stats from Monday’s game are pending, Sunday’s standout performers included Devin Moody (19 points), Tevaughan Dawson (14), Jason Orosco (12 points, 8 rebounds), and Ian Parham (11 points, 12 rebounds). Their contributions, along with strong rebounding from Meschach Flowers and Moody, laid the foundation for Belize’s commanding presence in the tournament.
Grouped with El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, Belize have emerged as the team to beat. Their undefeated run guarantees a semifinal berth on Tuesday, October 28, with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 pm or 8:00 pm depending on final group standings.
