Belize 
faced a challenging start to their Central American Games campaign, falling 17–1 to El Salvador 
in their opening match on Friday afternoon in Guatemala City. The game marked the third fixture of the women’s softball championship and Belize’s return to regional competition after a 12-year absence.
Despite the scoreline, the match represents a renewed chapter for Belize Softball, with the national women’s team proudly back on the international stage. The tournament continues through October 28, with Belize scheduled to face Nicaragua and Honduras on Saturday.
The women’s tournament features a round-robin format followed by Paige System playoffs. Belize’s group-stage schedule includes five matches over four days:
Belize Women’s Softball Schedule – Central American Games 2025
- Friday, October 24 – vs El Salvador at 2:00 pm (Lost 1–17)
- Saturday, October 25 – vs Nicaragua at 11:30 am
- Saturday, October 25 – vs Honduras at 2:00 pm
- Sunday, October 26 – vs Panama at 11:30 am
- Monday, October 27 – vs Guatemala at 2:00 pm

The top four teams from the round-robin will advance to the Paige System playoffs on Tuesday, October 28:
- 10:00 am – 4th vs 3rd
- 12:30 pm – 2nd vs 1st
- 2:00 pm – Semi-final: Winner of 4 vs 3 vs Loser of 2 vs 1
- 4:30 pm – Final: Winner of 2 vs 1 vs Semi-final winner
Other Morning Results – Friday, October 24
In the morning session of the women’s softball championship, Panama 
defeated Honduras 
13–3, while El Salvador secured a second win by blanking Honduras 10–0. In the final game of the day, Guatemala 
imposed their rhythm against Nicaragua 
, winning 15–8.
