By Aaron Humes: Police continue their investigations into the killing of Delecia Flowers, 35, and injury to her daughter, 14, at their residence on Complex Street this morning.
The assailant broke in just before 4 this morning and fatally attacked mother and daughter. The latter remains in stable condition but her mother succumbed at hospital while undergoing treatment.
The specific motive remains under investigation and police declined comment on how the daughter was injured due to the sensitivity of the matter. Other motives including gang-related violence have not been ruled out.
Flowers is the fifth woman to die in the last 20 days and third this week after Angelita Magaña and her daughter Shadia in San Felipe, Orange Walk District.
