By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Premier Women’s League of Belize (PWLB) kicked off the second round of its 2025 Opening Season with Napoles FC maintaining their perfect record and Sagitun GIRLZ holding firm in second. Corozal Elite remain in third, while Jewel Fury and Jaguar Girls are tied on points but separated by goal difference. Cayo Dreamers continue to struggle at the bottom of the table.

After six rounds, Napoles FC lead with 18 points and a staggering +31 goal differential, having scored 34 goals and conceded just three. Sagitun GIRLZ trail by five points in second place, boasting 28 goals for and only three against. Corozal Elite sit third with 11 points, followed by Jewel Fury and Jaguar Girls with four points each. Cayo Dreamers remain winless and goalless.

Week 6 marked the start of the regular season’s second round, with Napoles edging Jewel Fury 2–1, Sagitun GIRLZ routing Cayo Dreamers 8–0, and Corozal Elite drawing 2–2 with Jaguar Girls. However, both Corozal Elite and Jewel Fury have filed official protests alleging the use of ineligible players by their opponents. Should either protest be upheld, the standings could shift significantly.
