By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Relatively moist and unstable conditions continue to prevail over the country today, according to forecaster Tareek Matthews of the National Meteorological Service of Belize.
The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies with sunny breaks during the day and cloudy periods tonight. A few showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain will likely continue across the country, especially over coastal, central, and northern areas.
Showers are expected to decrease this evening and redevelop mainly over southern and some coastal areas later tonight.
Over the marine area, winds will blow from the east to northeast at 5 to 10 knots, and the sea state will be slight, with waves between 1 and 3 feet.
Temperatures today will reach highs of 87°F (31°C) along the coast, 90°F (32°C) inland, and 81°F (27°C) in the hills. Tonight, lows will be 78°F (26°C) along the coast, 73°F (23°C) inland, and 68°F (20°C) in the hills.
Similar weather conditions are expected to continue through Tuesday and Tuesday night.
Tides: High tide will occur at 9:28 a.m., followed by a low tide at 3:17 p.m., another high tide at 9:06 p.m., and a low tide at 4:02 a.m. tomorrow.
Sunrise was at 5:47 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:27 p.m. Moonset occurs at 4:55 p.m. today, while moonrise will be at 5:49 a.m. tomorrow.
