By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The National Meteorological Service is closely monitoring a tropical wave (AL98) located over the eastern Caribbean Sea, several hundred miles west of the Windward Islands.
The system is producing a large area of poorly organized showers and thunderstorms, and gradual development is possible as it moves westward over the central Caribbean Sea by mid to late week.
While the system poses no immediate threat to Belize, forecasters say it could strengthen over the coming days, and the public is advised to stay informed and monitor official updates.
