By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The Minister of Tourism, Youth, Sports and Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler, led a Belize delegation to Mexico for high-level discussions aimed at deepening cooperation between the two neighboring nations.

Accompanied by Chief Executive Officer Nicole Usher and Belize’s Ambassador to Mexico, H.E. Oscar Arnold, the minister met with top Mexican officials including Lic. Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretary of Tourism of Mexico; Lic. Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, Secretary of Tourism of Mexico City; and Lic. Bernaldo de la Garza, President of the Mexican Cycling Union.

The meetings focused on advancing collaboration in tourism development, sports and sports tourism, aviation connectivity, and joint marketing initiatives that could enhance both nations’ tourism profiles. Minister Mahler emphasized the importance of building stronger ties with Mexico, one of Belize’s most important regional partners, to promote sustainable tourism growth and increased visitor mobility across borders.

These engagements come ahead of a diaspora event in Mexico City scheduled for Saturday, October 18, which will further connect Belizeans living abroad with the country’s tourism and development agenda.

The Ministry expressed its gratitude to Ambassador Oscar Arnold and the Embassy of Belize in Mexico for their continued support and facilitation of this vital mission.
