By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Napoles FC closed out the first round of the Premier Women’s League of Belize (PWLB) 2025-2026 Opening Championship with a 3–1 win over Corozal Elite Football Club, securing their fifth straight victory and a perfect 15 points. Their dominance has resulted in 32 goals scored and just two conceded across five matches.
Sagitun GIRLZ also impressed over the weekend, blanking Jaguar Girls 6–0 in Belmopan to climb to second place with 10 points. Jewel Fury FC produced the round’s biggest win, blasting Cayo Dreamers FC 11–0 in San Ignacio to finish fourth with 7 points.
Corozal Elite, despite the loss to Napoles, remain tied with Sagitun on 10 points but trail on goal difference. Jaguar Girls earned a single point from an earlier draw, while Cayo Dreamers FC remain winless and point-less after five matches.
