By Zoila Palma: The Benque Viejo Marching Band has brought home major honors after a stunning performance in Guatemala City, where they competed in the OIB LATAM Latin American Championship.
Representing Belize with pride, the band was declared the International Champions in the Marching Band “A” category.
In addition to their top title, the talented group also captured several other awards, including Champions in Drum Line, Champions in Parade, and Best Visual Effects (Show).
Their impressive routines and powerful performances earned them recognition as one of the standout bands in the competition.
The victories mark a historic moment for the Benque Viejo Marching Band and for Belize, as the young musicians demonstrated discipline, creativity, and national pride on the international stage.
The band was welcomed back home with a parade through the streets of Benque Viejo del Carmen this morning.
