By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Generally fair weather prevails across the country this Sunday, September 28, 2025. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells throughout the day and partly cloudy conditions tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated.
Over the next 24 hours, temperatures are expected to remain warm. Along the coast, highs will reach 88°F (31°C) and dip to 80°F (27°C) tonight. Inland areas will be hotter, peaking at 94°F (34°C) with lows around 74°F (23°C). The hills will see cooler temperatures with highs of 82°F (28°C) and lows of 68°F (20°C).
Marine conditions are favorable for small craft and fishermen. Winds will be light and variable, with seas slight and waves ranging between one to three feet.
In the tropics, Tropical Depression Nine was located near 23.2N 77.3W, or about 285 miles northwest of the eastern tip of Cuba, with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, moving north-northwest at 7 mph. This system poses no threat to Belize. Meanwhile, Hurricane Humberto remains a powerful category four storm with maximum sustained winds near 155 mph, located about 585 miles south of Bermuda. Humberto also poses no threat to Belize.
Similar weather conditions are expected on Monday and Monday night, with fair skies and only isolated showers or thunderstorms.
Tides today include a low at 8:48 am, a high at 2:50 pm, and another low at 7:08 pm. Tomorrow morning’s high will occur at 1:41 am. The sun rose at 5:42 am and will set at 5:43 pm. The moon will rise at 11:23 am and set at 10:27 pm.
