By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Weather conditions are expected to improve today as moisture and instability decrease over Belize. The National Meteorological Service reports that skies will be sunny with cloudy spells during the day and partly cloudy tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated.
Winds will blow from the east at 5 to 10 knots, producing slight seas with waves between 1 and 3 feet. Temperatures will reach highs of 89°F on the coast, 93°F inland, and 81°F in the hills. Overnight lows are expected at 83°F, 75°F, and 68°F, respectively.
In the tropics, Hurricane Gabrielle is located 535 miles west of the Azores with sustained winds of 85 mph, while Tropical Storm Humberto is positioned 480 miles east-northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands with winds of 45 mph. Both systems pose no threat to Belize.
The outlook for Friday calls for generally fair weather with only isolated showers or thunderstorms.
