By Rubén Morales Iglesias: In Week 2 of the 2025–2026 Premier Women’s League of Belize Opening Championship, Napoles FC overwhelmed Jaguar Girls 8–1 on Saturday night at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.
New recruit Khalydia Velasquez, formerly of Jewel Fury, lit up the scoreboard with a haul scoring in the 23rd, 29th, 37th, and 82nd minutes. Betsy Perez opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the 8th minute, followed by strikes from Karen Reyes (73’) and Ashley Rodriguez (76’), who recently joined after her Sagitun GIRLZ stint. Napoles’ attacking depth proved too much for the Jaguars.
Jaguar Girls’ lone goal came from Amina Burgess in the 48th minute, offering a brief spark in an otherwise lopsided affair.
With two wins and 12 goals scored, Napoles FC lead the standings with a +11 goal difference and a clear sending a clear that they mean business.
