By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Foreign Minister Francis Fonseca has confirmed that he is prepared to take a public petition regarding the removal of the visa waiver for Israeli citizens before Cabinet.

The petition, initiated by solidarity group Liberation 9/21, has gained over 300 signatures to date. Fonseca noted that petitions submitted by Belizeans deserve review and respect, though Cabinet would make the final decision on the matter.

When asked if the request was valid in light of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Fonseca said he would prefer to examine it more closely with his foreign affairs team before adopting a formal position. He cautioned against rushing into a decision without careful consideration.
