By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize’s aviation sector is marking a milestone as Tropic Air expands its fleet with the arrival of three brand-new Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft.
The addition is part of Tropic Air’s ongoing renewal project that will see a total of five new planes added within a year. The first arrived in 2024, three have just been delivered, and the final aircraft will be introduced later in 2025.
Company officials say the move is aimed at raising the standard of air travel in Belize while contributing to national development. “The introduction of these aircraft reflects our continued commitment to providing a premium passenger experience and reliable service to our customers,” said Tropic Air CEO Maximillian Greif.
Tropic Air has long been a backbone of connectivity in Belize, with more than 300 flights a day linking people, businesses, and destinations. For nearly fifty years, the airline has worked to uphold international safety standards and has been the only local carrier to achieve IATA Safety Certification.
The new planes not only increase comfort and reliability but also bring greater efficiency and sustainability, reducing environmental impact while expanding opportunities for tourism and commerce.
According to Tropic Air, the additions are a sign that both the airline and Belize are ready to soar higher, positioning the country as a competitive travel destination in the region and beyond.
