Using Colombian Caribbean thinkers as a starting point, Marejada. Ensayos de pensadoras del Caribe (Editorial Uninorte, 2025) was edited by Sara Martínez Vega, Mercedes Ortega González Rubio, and Daniela Pabón Llinás.

Description: This compilation, in fourteen essays, maps the interests and questions of thinkers who research and reflect from the humanities, using the Colombian Caribbean as their starting point. Some of its themes include poetics, otherness, bodily dissidence, scientific and technological development, and architecture. Here, the Caribbean appears as a framework for rethinking legacies and divergences from hegemonic discourses. In this collective endeavor, eighteen scholars have the space to share their passions and address relevant and current issues in philosophy, literature, the arts, and related fields. The authors engage in dialogue with the dominant canon while problematizing and challenging it and confronting it with contemporary references. The essays address current concerns such as environmentalism, decolonialism, and gender equality.
