Maximum sustained winds have reached near 60 mph (95 km/h), with higher gusts.

While some additional strengthening is likely today, forecasters say the storm is expected to begin weakening late tonight and continue losing strength into Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds currently extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the center.
