San Ignacio businessman charged for hit and run that critically injured police officer

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police have charged 31-year-old San Ignacio businessman Dijon McNab in connection with a hit-and-run accident that left two police constables injured on Sunday, September 7.

The incident involved Constables Karen August and Kurlyn Hamilton Jr..

PC August remains listed in critical condition.

Today, investigators formally arrested McNab and charged him with negligent grievous harm and negligent wounding.

In addition, he faces multiple traffic-related offenses, including driving without due care and attention, failing to keep as close as possible to the right-hand side of the road, failing to stop and render aid, and failing to report an accident.
