By Breaking Belize News Staff: Weather conditions across Belize are becoming more moist and unstable, a trend that is expected to lead to an increase in showers and isolated thunderstorms.
The National Meteorological Service of Belize forecasts mostly sunny skies with some cloudy periods today. The weather tonight will be cloudy at times. Scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms are anticipated countrywide throughout the day, with activity expected to increase over most areas later tonight.
Winds will be out of the east at 5 to 15 knots, and seas will remain slight with wave heights ranging from one to three feet. Along the coast, temperatures will reach highs near 89°F (32°C) and lows of 83°F (28°C). Inland areas can expect highs near 95°F (35°C) and lows of 73°F (23°C), while hill areas will see highs near 83°F (28°C) and lows of 68°F (20°C).
High tides are expected today at 9:29 a.m. and 10:01 p.m., with low tides at 4:10 p.m. and 4:05 a.m. tomorrow. Sunrise was at 5:39 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:01 p.m. The moon will set at 5:27 a.m. and rise at 6:08 p.m.
Similar weather conditions, with showers and isolated thunderstorms, are expected to continue through Monday and Monday night. The National Meteorological Service confirms there is no tropical cyclone formation expected over the North Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours.
