By Breaking Belize News Staff: Authorities are asking the public’s assistance in locating Liandro Leiva, a 39-year-old Belizean prisoner who escaped from custody on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Leiva, who was serving time at the Belize Central Prison, fled from police custody in Independence Village, Stann Creek District, and is now wanted for the crime of escape from lawful custody.
Crime Stoppers Belize has issued a wanted notice urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to immediately contact them at 922, use the P3 app, or report to the nearest police station.
All tips remain anonymous and confidential.
