By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Napoles continued their impressive debut campaign in the Premier League of Belize (PLB) with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over defending Opening Season champions Port Layola on Sunday at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.
The breakthrough came in the 36th minute when Napoles’ Kallai Cho, slotted home the lone goal of the match. Napoles took the 1–0 lead into halftime and held off Port Layola’s second-half advances to seal the win.
With seven points from two wins and a draw, Napoles now sit atop the PLB standings in their maiden season, ahead of Progresso (5 points) and Verdes (4 points). Port Layola drop to fifth with four points from a win, a draw, and a loss.
The result marks Napoles’ second consecutive victory and reinforces their early-season momentum as surprise title contenders.
