Over $150,000 unaccounted for at the Resilient Rural Belize Program

By Aaron Humes: Police say they are investigating a report of theft at the Ministry of Economic Development and Transformation, concerning the Resilient Rural Belize program, from which over $150,000 has reportedly been stolen.

An investigation commenced and is ongoing following a report of suspected fraud in the Resilient Rural Belize Program.

An audit was conducted, revealing that misappropriation of funds occurred between March 31, 2021 and October 31, 2024, totaling $152,654 unaccounted for.
