The Belize Agricultural Health Authority invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:
Accounts Payable Clerk
Minimum qualification and skills:
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Certified Accounting Technician Certificate with minimum two (2) years working experience in accounts payable.
Competencies:
- Strong work ethics, practices, honesty and integrity.
- Excellent inter-personal and organizational skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and working knowledge of Spanish.
- Strong computer skills particularly in Microsoft 365.
- Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent reporting skills.
- Highly motivated team player who is flexible and takes initiative.
- Class “A” Driver’s license.
Job Summary: The accounts payable clerk processes day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable financial data in compliance with BAHA’s financial policies and procedures. The accounts payable clerk ensures that BAHA’s pays invoices and bills in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

Salary: BAHA Pay Scale 9: $17,489.40 x 840.48 – $33,458.52
Duty Station: Headquarters, Belmopan.
