By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service is reporting somewhat moist and unstable weather conditions across the country today, Sunday, July 20, 2025. Early morning hours will bring a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly affecting southern and some coastal areas.
As the day progresses, weather activity is expected to gradually decrease, with conditions becoming mostly sunny with cloudy spells. By this afternoon, showers will become increasingly isolated, allowing for drier and more stable conditions in most areas.
Winds are blowing from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots, producing choppy sea conditions and waves between 3 and 5 feet. Mariners and small craft operators should continue to exercise caution, particularly in areas where thunderstorms may occur.
Temperatures today will reach 94°F inland, 88°F along the coast, and 80°F in the hills, with slightly cooler nighttime lows forecast countrywide.
Meanwhile, the National Hurricane Center continues to monitor the Atlantic, but no tropical cyclone development is expected over the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead to Monday, skies will remain cloudy at times, with a few morning showers or isolated thunderstorms expected over northern and central Belize, followed by a return to isolated showers by the afternoon.
