By Zoila Palma: Several WhatsApp users in Belize have reported that their accounts are being hacked.
Families and friends are receiving a message saying “I’m having some issues with my bank and urgently need to transfer $950 USD to someone. Would you be able to assist with the transfer? I will make sure to pay you back tomorrow.”
The fraudulent messages are being circulated to contacts of users who have been hacked.
