By Breaking Belize News Staff: A moderate east to southeasterly airflow continues to dominate Belize’s weather today, bringing another round of sunshine with cloudy intervals and isolated showers across the country.
Forecasters at the National Meteorological Service say residents in the Toledo District can expect scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms throughout the day and into the night. For the rest of the country, any rainfall will be isolated and short-lived.
Temperatures will remain warm, with inland areas peaking near 94°F (34°C), while coastal regions reach highs of 88°F (31°C). The hills will be slightly cooler, topping out at 83°F (28°C).
Winds will blow from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots, keeping seas in moderate condition with wave heights between 4 and 6 feet. A small craft caution has not been issued, but mariners are advised to be mindful of locally rough seas in the south.
Looking ahead, Friday may bring a few showers and isolated thunderstorms to northern Belize during the day, with activity shifting southward again by Friday night, particularly over Toledo.
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours.
