By Rubén Morales Iglesias: In a hard-fought battle for the Belize District Football Association U17 Championship, Yabra came out victorious, defeating Belize United 2-1 in a gripping final at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.
Esmond Sanker proved to be the hero of the day, securing Yabra’s championship win with a stunning brace—striking in the 5th and again in the 60th minute.
Belize United put up a valiant fight, with Barack Morey keeping their hopes alive with a goal in the 43rd minute, but Yabra’s defense held strong to close out the victory.
Congratulations to Yabra, the 2025 Belize District U17 Champions!
