By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belmopan is set to host the highly anticipated 53rd National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) from May 30 to June 1 at the NATS Grounds, promising an exciting lineup of events. This year, NATS is being celebrated under the theme “Integrating Sustainable Food Systems: Mitigating Climate Change, Strengthening Agricultural Resilience.”
This year’s edition will feature a Ford Ranger raffle, a Dog Show, horse racing, a rodeo, a horse parade, and the Passam – Look Alike Challenge, ensuring entertainment for all ages. Additionally, BELTRAIDE will introduce the Buy Belizean Loyalty Program initiative, aimed at promoting local products and businesses.
As always, the event will showcase agricultural and trade booths, where visitors can explore innovations in farming, food production, and commerce. The weekend will also be filled with musical entertainment, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of Belize’s premier agricultural event.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise reported that last year’s event drew 41,000 attendees, and they anticipate an even larger turnout this year, reflecting growing excitement for NATS 2025.
The 2025 NATS promises to be a celebration of Belizean agriculture, industry, culture, and community spirit while highlighting the importance of sustainable food systems and agricultural resilience.
