By Aaron Humes: Today, Wednesday, police have made an arrest in the murder investigation of Coby Ledlon, who was tragically killed on Tuesday, April 1.
Duane Wite, a 20-year-old Belizean laborer residing at Iguana Street Extension, was apprehended and charged with the crime of murder. Following his arrest, Wite was cautioned but chose to remain silent.
Ledlon, who resides at Neal’s Pen Road Extension, was standing in front of a property at Iguana Street when an unidentified assailant approached him. According to authorities, the shooter, described as a male of dark complexion and armed with a firearm, fired two shots at Ledlon, striking him in the upper body.
Upon their arrival, police found Ledlon suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he received immediate medical attention. He died later that day.
