By Horace Palacio: After days of gusty winds and scattered showers brought on by a passing cold front, Belize now enjoys a cooler and drier atmosphere, thanks to a prevailing northwesterly airflow.
According to the National Meteorological Service, today’s forecast is mostly cloudy with sunny breaks, and no significant rainfall is expected. The shift in wind direction from the northwest at 10 to 20 knots has also helped bring mild temperatures across the country.
Coastal areas can expect highs of 82°F (28°C), while inland zones will mirror that with slightly lower nighttime lows around 68°F (20°C). The hills will feel even cooler, with lows near 64°F (18°C).
At sea, conditions are classified as moderate, with waves between 4 and 6 feet, making it safer for marine activity but still requiring attentiveness from small craft operators.
Looking ahead, Thursday’s forecast promises more of the same: fair, mild weather with no rain in sight — a great opportunity for locals and travelers alike to enjoy outdoor plans across the country.
