Shooting incident leaves Coby Ledlon injured in Belize City

By Aaron Humes: A 20-year-old local laborer is recovering in the hospital following a shooting incident that occurred this morning at approximately 10:40 AM. The incident took place on Iguana Street, where emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire.

Witnesses reported that Coby Ledlon, who resides at Neal’s Pen Road Extension, was standing in front of a property at Iguana Street when an unidentified assailant approached him. According to authorities, the shooter, described as a male of dark complexion and armed with a firearm, fired two shots at Ledlon, striking him in the upper body.

Upon their arrival, police found Ledlon suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, receiving immediate medical attention.

The police have launched an investigation but have not yet identified the shooter. They are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the suspect’s apprehension.
