By Zoila Palma: While in Taiwan for the 2025 Smart City Summit & Expo, Mayor Bernard Wagner and the Belize City Council delegation visited friends at the Kaohsiung City Government Administration Center.
Deputy Mayor Charles Lin and his team warmly welcomed the Belize delegation as both cities reaffirmed their 20-year strong partnership.
Mayor Wagner and Deputy Mayor Lin discussed new opportunities for collaboration that will continue to drive innovation, cultural exchange, and urban development for both Belize City and Kaohsiung City.
“As a symbol of our shared friendship, both leaders exchanged tokens of appreciation, further solidifying the deep ties between our two cities.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Deputy Mayor Lin and the Kaohsiung City Government for their gracious hospitality and for hosting us during this meaningful visit,” the Belize City Council said.
The Belize City Council says that it is excited to continue to strengthen this special bond and working together toward a brighter, smarter future.
