By Aaron Humes: Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of Mark Usher Jr., a 33-year-old Belize City resident. The shooting occurred on Saturday night as Usher was parking his vehicle outside his home on Faber’s Road.
Police have charged 27-year-old Andre Arthurs, a construction worker from Belize District, with murder. According to police reports, Usher was shot by an unknown assailant on a bicycle shortly after arriving home. Despite being rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.
Police continue to investigate the incident, seeking any additional information that could shed light on the circumstances surrounding this murder. It was the first of three murders reported in Belize City this weekend.
