The event was filled with energy and optimism, as Prime Minister John Briceno, Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children Rossana Briceno, along with Area Representatives and Standard Bearers, made passionate speeches to a captivated audience.
In his address, Prime Minister Briceno took the opportunity to highlight the key accomplishments of the current Government of Belize under his leadership.
He emphasized the progress made in various sectors, underscoring the party’s commitment to the well-being of all Belizeans.
A major highlight of the evening was the announcement of a key feature of Plan Belize 2.0—GST-Free Weekends for Christmas and Back-to-School!
The initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on Belizean families, particularly during the festive season and the back-to-school period.
By removing GST on certain goods during these key times, the government intends to make essential items more affordable for families, promoting economic relief and supporting local businesses.
With these new measures and a continued focus on development, the PUP’s Plan Belize 2.0 is positioned as a bold step forward in the party’s vision for a more prosperous and equitable Belize.
