By Horace Palacio: Authorities may have made a breakthrough in the search for 29-year-old Raheem Usher, a construction worker from Libertad Village, Corozal, who has been missing since January 25, 2025.
This morning, reports surfaced that a body was found in the Rio Hondo River, and authorities believe it may be Usher. While an official identification is pending, investigators are working to confirm whether the remains belong to the missing man.
Usher was last seen wearing black shorts and a red T-shirt. He is 6 feet tall, slim-built, weighing 160 pounds, and of Creole descent with a dark brown complexion. His family, deeply concerned for his safety, has been pleading for information regarding his whereabouts.
Crime Stoppers Belize previously issued a missing person alert, urging the public to assist in locating him.
Authorities are expected to release further updates as the investigation unfolds.
