By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize High School of Agriculture (BHSA) secured their spot in the finals of the National Secondary School Sports Association (NSSSA) Football Championship through a thrilling 5-4 penalty shootout against Julian Cho Technical High School at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen on Friday.
Claudie Augustine scored first for Julian Cho in the 6th minute, but BHSA responded quickly with Oscar Rodriguez equalizing two minutes later.
After a 1-1 draw in regular time, Belize High clinched the win on penalties 5-4 after Julian Cho missed their first kick.
Representing the Northern Region, BHSA will face Gwen Lizarraga High School who edged Belmopan Comprehensive (Compre) 1-0 on Friday.
Julian Cho will play for third place tomorrow against Compre.
