By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at Newtown Barracks in the wee hours of the morning.
At around 3:25 a.m. today, Tuesday, February 18, officers responded to a report at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they found 36-year-old Leon Gray with gunshot wounds.
Initial reports indicate that at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Gray and 37-year-old Emmeth Baptist were at Newton Barracks when two men exited a parked vehicle and fired several shots at them.
Gray was treated and released from the hospital.
