By Horace Palacio: Police are investigating reports of gunfire in the Western Avenue area, where an unidentified gunman fired multiple shots before escaping.
At around 10:42 AM, officers from Echo 2 patrol were conducting routine post-checks when they heard four gunshots near Carnation Street. Responding swiftly, officers—assisted by SPU, GI 3, and QRT units—swept the area but found no victims or crime scene evidence.
Witness reports described the suspect as a male wearing a bucket camouflage hat, a red shirt, and black three-quarter pants, riding a bicycle. Despite immediate searches, no one matching the description was located.
The police are asking anyone with relevant information to assist in the ongoing investigation.
