By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology and the Belize National Teachers’ Union (BNTU) and school Managing Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration and improving Belize’s education system for the benefit of students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
During the first-ever meeting of key education stakeholders on January 23, 2025, chaired by Minister Francis Fonseca, constructive discussions were held with partners like the Social Security Board, Belize Tax Services, and the Treasury Department.
A major highlight was the signing of a joint statement, pledging sustained collaboration and communication to create an education system that meets the needs of the nation.
The Ministry says that it remains dedicated to ensuring equitable access to quality education and empowering all Belizeans with the tools for personal growth and active national participation.
“Together, MoECST, BNTU, and Managing Authorities will continue working towards innovative solutions to challenges and advancing education for all,” the Ministry said.
