By Aaron Humes: On Thursday, Chief Justice Louise Esther Blenman and the Judicial Education Institute (JEI) of the Senior Courts in Belize hosted a virtual sensitization training on the new Senior Courts of Belize (Civil Procedure) Rules 2025 (CPR).

The meeting aims to sensitize participants to the major changes made in the Revised CPR 2025, which came into effect on January 2. These revisions represent the first revision to the Supreme Court (Civil Procedure) Rules since their establishment on April 4, 2005, and are a part of the wider transformation of the Senior Courts of Belize.

Distinguished jurists from Belize and across the Caribbean addressed judges, registrars, the Private and Public Bar, and all stakeholders in Belize to provide them with an understanding of the updated procedural rules governing civil justice administration.
