By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Irene Baki of Williams Racing Development (WRD) emerged victorious in the Women Junior/Youth category of the 34th Annual KREM New Year’s Day Cycling Classic, held on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The Women Junior/Youth category started at the Crooked Tree junction on the Philip Goldson Highway to Central American Boulevard in Belize City.
Chelsy Gillett of Imani’s Cycling Team finished in second place, followed by Lianni Choto of Troyer Treats Cycling Team in third.
The young women cyclists displayed outstanding determination and potential.
