By Breaking Belize News Staff: A third suspect, 20-year-old Ronald Steadman Frazer, has been charged with the double murder of Belmopan taxi drivers Marvin Elisandro Cante, 37, and Juan Carlos Raymundo, 32. Frazer, a laborer from Ontario Village, Cayo District, was arrested on December 19, 2024, and arraigned in Belize City Magistrate’s Court the following morning. He faces two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of the two men, whose bodies were found in a shallow grave in the Hattieville area in December 2019.
Frazer appeared before Senior Magistrate, where he was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until his next court appearance on February 12, 2025. He now joins Christopher Alexander Smith Jr., 21, and Karl L. Lindo, 21, who were also charged in connection with the murders earlier this month.
The two men, Cante and Raymundo, were reported missing on November 27, 2024, after they were last seen leaving Belmopan. Their abandoned vehicle, found with bloodstains inside, led police to launch an investigation, eventually uncovering the bodies of the victims in a shallow grave on December 12, 2024.
Frazer’s arrest follows the detention of Smith Jr. and Lindo, both of whom were charged with two counts of murder on December 16, 2024. The three suspects will appear together in court for the first time on February 12, 2025.
