By Breaking Belize News Staff: Andy Hezron Hernandez, a 50-year-old resident of Plues Street in Belize City, was fined in court on Monday after being caught drinking a Belikin stout on Elston Kerr Street on Saturday, October 26. Hernandez, who was arrested and held over the weekend, admitted to the offense when he appeared unrepresented before the Magistrate. He was fined $25 for public drinking and an additional $5 in court costs, with a deadline to pay by the end of November.
Before being released, Hernandez was also required to settle a $105 court debt from a 2010 drug possession charge. He paid the outstanding fines before leaving court, concluding his legal matters and clearing his 14-year-old debt.
