Accounting professionals wanted: Las Terrazas hiring for San Pedro Office

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Las Terrazas has announced an opening for a qualified Accounts Supervisor to manage essential accounting functions at their office located 3 ½ miles north of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the full-time position is critical to supporting the company’s financial record-keeping and compliance with Belizean laws.

According to the job listing, the Accounts Supervisor will be responsible for a variety of duties, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory management. The role will also involve preparing monthly financial reports, conducting month-end closing operations, and ensuring all accounting activities meet legal standards. Daily supervision and support of accounting personnel will also be a key focus for the candidate chosen for this position.

Candidates are required to hold at least an Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role. A working knowledge of Belizean tax laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is essential, and familiarity with accounting software such as Peachtree is considered an asset. Previous experience in Belize’s tourism industry is advantageous.
